I don't have a lot of hair. It's growing but it's still mid-length with lots of layers and it's not super thick. I've been experimenting with different ways to style my hair in an updo that gives the illusion that I have more hair than I truly do. This bun does the trick nicely and it's very easy to create.

Pinning hair up in two sections creates volume while twisting hair helps to incorporate shorter layers. This style requires just a few basic hairstyling tools and can be dressed up or down to suit just about any occasion. Follow the simple steps below to create the look!

Big Twisted Bun

For this tutorial, you will need:
Styling product (I used Redken Mess Around 10 Distrupting Cream-Paste)
Comb
Small hair elastic ties
Bobby Pins

1. Use your comb to part your hair in to sections and tie both sections into a low ponytails.

2. Run a little styling product through one ponytail and then twist it.

3. Wrap the end around the base of the other ponytail and pin it in place.

4. Repeat with the second ponytail. Done!
